Corrodias’ has released a that automatically fixes the homie cooldown bug, has character import/export, a new game+ button, and more! V2.2 Changelog Added a Homies tab to edit which homies are unlocked. Also fixes the bug where a homie is permanently busy. Just load and save the file.

Added an automatic fix for the SR3 bug that prevents co-op client saves from using Mission Replay. Just load and save the file. Added importing and exporting player appearance. Only includes body and clothes; does not include voice and taunts. This means you can finally have a sex mismatch in your voice, hooray.

Added a New Game + button. This resets missions, activities, properties & stores, and cribs. It doesn’t reset upgrades, collectibles, money, respect, or garage vehicles. Use this at your own risk. This is a big feature, and i cannot test it completely myself. ALWAYS back up your saves before editing. As far as i can tell, upgraded weapons don’t break missions 2 and 3 like we thought they did, so maybe that has been fixed somehow, or maybe i didn’t test it right.

Be aware that they might prevent you from breaking the plane window and from buying ammo in those missions. Posted in Comments Off.

It’s been a long time coming, but it looks like we might finally have a solution to the Mission Replay bug where some users would try to start a replay from their phone and nothing would happen at all. It turned out to be some odd flags set in the save file if the mission was done in coop rather than in single player. Corrodias has that should hopefully fix the issue. If you have this bug, all you need to do is simply load your save in this new build of the editor, then save it. No changes are necessary, and the fix happens automatically as part of the save process.

I’ve personally tested it with my saves that had the issue and it worked like a charm. Feedback is still needed though, so please leave a comment here, or on the forum itself with your results.

Corrodias also has some other interesting save editor stuff he’s working on as well, like automatically fixing the grayed out homie issue where they aren’t available, player character export/import, and a new game+ feature that resets all the activities, gang ops, and other things. Posted in Comments Off. Things are starting to pick up steam, and an alpha release is getting closer and closer. The gui is finished, all the files for the huge amount of new mods are in place, and the buttons are mostly behaving like they should. There are still a few major pieces left to do, like the dynamic str2 and asm updating, and finalizing the config file menu so that you can easily save/load/share your mod loadout. There’s also quite a bit of testing and double checking that the files themselves are writing and updating correctly based on gui selections, though I’m hoping that the user base can help with testing that piece of it during the alpha.

One of the interesting things I haven’t talked about yet with the new gui release is that all the str2pc file contents are actually in an extracted folder format and are all built dynamically during the build process. This is something that fellow modders will appreciate since they will now be able to directly edit the existing lua or dds files within the folder structure of the new GoS. The gui itself can build everything for them without ever having to mess with batch files or the command line. Naturally, this will make testing minor iterative changes much faster.

I spent my Sunday today adding in and updating mods for the upcoming gui version of GoS. New Sandbox+ commands courtesy of BadMadScientist: CTRL+UP=Toggle Player and followers dancing (also works in cars!) CTRL+END=Immediately revive all downed homies R+LBRACKET=Cycle follower weapons R+RBRACKET=Toggle insane followers (followers will aggressively attack all pedestrians) R+SEMICOLON=Carry follower over shoulder F+PGDOWN=Cycle passenger modes where followers drive you around Fixed issue where sound fx begin to cut out after 30 minutes of play. If you continue to experience sound problems even after updating, simply delete the audiobanks.xtbl that came with the mod from the root of your SRTT install. This will also remove the ability to listen to mission music while on foot (G + DOWN) but the rest of the on-foot radio, commercials, and news stations should be unaffected by its removal.) Find results in. Content titles and body. Content titles only. I'm kinda curious about the idea of a sex mod for Saints Row 3. Of course, the game has just about everything except for outright sex scenes in it, but after playing XLovers for Oblivion, I'm rather hooked on the concept of sex mods for open-world games, specifically those that add a GOR aspect to the game.

Too bad there are so few such mods. It occured to me that all that would be needed would be some new animations and some code to tie it all together, but having no skills to do such a thing myself I can't really say what would be involved.

In any case, if nothing else I figured I'd post about it to see what kind of interest there might be. I'm kinda curious about the idea of a sex mod for Saints Row 3.

The mechanics might even already be there, with how the sprinting melee attacks work. You run up to some one, press a button, and the animation plays out. It seems like with the right animations, that could definitely be worked in to some sort of sex mod, where you press a button to do the same thing script-wise, but with sex instead. (Consensual or not) P.S. This game is a MASSIVE disappointment.

Saint's Row 2 is definitely the better game. I think the only game that has disappointed me more than this is Fable 3. Edit: It's funny really, both reviews and users commenting on the game a lot of the time go in two different categories: 1: 'This is my first Saint's Row game. This game is Awesome!'

2: 'Having played Saint's Row 2. This game is not as good as it should be.' Hmm, Red Faction: Armageddon, Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, Dawn of War II, Saint's Row the Third; I definitely need to learn to not set my expectations too high if a sequel to a game I love is being published by THQ. I think I like SR3 more than SR2, although I did play the horrible PC port, but I had bigger problems with that game besides performance issue. Although there are parts that SR2 does better than SR3, in particular the size of the open world aspect.

I like DoWII also, but missed the boat on DoW after some hard decision making to skip it, but I heard a lot of balance issue with it D: Anyways back on topic, I don't know if a sex mod aspect of SR3 will really be worthwhile. How far are we willing to go here? How much work would that take? So far Lovers and Sexout are based on games with modding in mind. While mods of SR exist, it isn't the same kind of from the ground up modding we have seen in Oblivion and Fallout, it is mostly cosmetic changes and mission reply at best. Plus I don't get too much of a open world feel from SR3 (part of the problem I mention earlier with the game), and SR3 also doesn't have the tone to can carry a GOR type game. I found SR3 better in some aspects and poorer in others.

The models physics and animations are better in SR3. Then again we are talking a game made 4 years after the second game so that would be expected, you would hope. I didn't play SR2 very long the models didn't look right to me and it was the PC version and the PC version is shit.

Eh i don't think it is fair to bash THQ for sequels though, they publish games and rarely make them. The only sequel that hurt them was soulstorm, and it was a rushed half-ass piece of shit. Dark millenium was awesome. DoW2 was pretty impressive it combined squadbased shooter and RTS how many games have you seen like that? I agree that the moddability of SR3 is lacking, however a simple GOR mod shouldn't be hard to add in.

As mentioned above, it looks like the framework is already in place (special melee moves/sequences). Whether it fits in the game world or not is more of a conceptual question. Does GOR fit in Oblivion or Fallout? To me, it seems to fit just as well as it would in SR3. Still, in the end it comes down to actually doing it. I would do it, if I had the tools.

But so far the modding tools for SR3 are lacking. Hopefully this will change but its not up to me.
